In recently, I have installed both Kingsoft Internet Security Plus ( newest version) an Avira Internet Security Suites. While KIS trying to Scan memory or updating database, Avira having warnings that: KIS include AT-CMOS.boot virus, TR/Crypt.XPACK.gen Trojan.
Hence, I think Avira definitely must have a reason to give that warnings.
I bring out this case on forum to desire have a explanation
Have fun!

Hi latigon,

It is recommended not to run two Antivirus program together as they can conflict with each other.

K9 Plus does not contain Virus ;) .

What is happening with Avira Internat Security is when Kingsoft is downloading new definitions Avira is scanning them and finding definitions look like Viruses, then Avira is reporting them to you and could also be deleting them from your system. :x

These definitions are used to found viruses and with out these Kingsoft Internet Security can not found and clear viruses.

Please remove one of your Antivirus programs or disable the auto detect in one of them. :D

Thanks

I'll second that, you're on to a looser if you try to install two AV packages on the same machine. One way that AV software works by holding a fragment of a virus, which is compares against the files being checked.

Your second anti-virus package will spot these fragments in the first AV software, and if it is using the same fragment to check for viruses, it will return a positive match.
